FAQ

What are Screen Time Modes?

The Young Minds Parent App allows you to create scheduled modes that help your child stay focused, relax, or rest by controlling which apps and websites are accessible at different times.

Screen Time Modes in the Young Minds Parent App help structure your child’s device use throughout the day. Modes control which apps and websites are available during specific times, helping children stay focused during study, relax before bed, or disconnect overnight.

You can schedule different modes to match your child’s daily routine, such as homework time, evening wind-down, or bedtime.

Young Minds App includes several predefined modes:

  • Study Mode – Allows only educational apps.
  • Wind Down Mode – Allows relaxing apps such as music while limiting web access.
  • Bedtime Mode – Blocks all apps and internet access overnight.
  • Screen Free Day – Blocks all apps and internet access for the entire day.
  • Custom Mode – Allows full control over which apps and websites are accessible.

Each mode also supports Mode-Specific Web Access, allowing you to define which websites or categories of websites are allowed during that mode.
