Managing Always Allowed Apps

Some apps should always be accessible - regardless of screen time settings or active modes. Young Minds App allows you to mark essential apps like Phone, Maps, or other tools as "Always Allowed," ensuring your child can reach you or navigate safely when needed.

How to Manage Always Allowed Apps

Step 1: Open Always Allowed Settings

  • In the Young Minds Parent App, tap your child’s profile.
  • Select Always Allowed Apps from the options.

Step 2: Choose Essential Apps

  • You’ll see a list of all apps installed on your child’s device, grouped by category.
  • Tick the checkbox next to the app you want to always allow - even during restricted times or active modes.
  • Use the search bar to quickly find specific apps.

Step 3: Save Your Changes

  • Tap Save once you’ve selected the apps.
  • Changes may take a few minutes to sync across your child’s device. Once synced, these apps will remain accessible, regardless of mode or schedule.

Why Use Always Allowed Apps?

This feature ensures your child always has access to what matters most - like calling family, using Maps, or receiving important updates - without compromising on the rest of your screen-time routines.
