After creating your Parent Profile, download the Young Minds App on your child's iPhone or iPad from the App Store.
Enter the Setup Code generated for your child in the Parent app, then follow the on-screen instructions to configure the app. During setup, you will be asked to:
- Assign a name to the device
- Grant the permissions required for monitoring and protection
Permissions required for full functionality on iOS
To ensure proper monitoring and screen time management, the Young Minds Kids App requires the following permissions on iOS devices:
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) – Allows rules set by the parent to be enforced
- VPN Service – Enables web filtering, improves browsing reports, and enhances online safety
- Notification Access – Helps the app stay active and ensures important alerts are delivered
- Device Location – Enables location tracking and location history.
Granting all required permissions ensures the app functions properly and provides continuous protection and monitoring.
