After creating your Parent Profile, download the Young Minds Kids App on your child’s iPhone or iPad from the App Store.
Log in using your parent account credentials, then follow the on-screen instructions to configure the app.
During setup, you will be asked to:
- Select an existing child or add a new child profile
- Assign a name to the device
- Grant the permissions required for monitoring and protection
Permissions required for full functionality on iOS
To ensure proper monitoring and screen time management, the Young Minds Kids App requires the following permissions on iOS devices:
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) – Allows rules set by the parent to be enforced
- VPN Service – Enables web filtering, improves browsing reports, and enhances online safety
- Notification Access – Helps the app stay active and ensures important alerts are delivered
- Device Location – Enables location tracking and location history.
Granting all required permissions ensures the app functions properly and provides continuous protection and monitoring.
